Hi Folks - Not much in the way of new market information, so today we discuss portfolio management to help my Community in their journey towards becoming more profitable traders and investors.
I want to make a comment on execution and what I believe to be some of the best tools for market participants: the Limit Order and the Stop-Loss Order (or Trailing Stop). These are my 2 favorite and most used tools when I transact, and believe me when I say that these two order types alone have been tremendously valuable to me. From my experience, mastering these two tools is Almost (with a capital A) as important as knowing Fundamental Analysis. Fundamental Analysis helps you identify the opportunity. These 2 tools help you actually capitalize on it. Here’s an example of the vitality of it.
Members know that I like the European Luxury theme LVMH (European Ticker MC or American Equivalent LVMHF) as one idea from recent opinions. I think it’s one of the best ways to play consumer spending from China. Recent valuation traded at a premium but looked fair to me given the recovery trends I see in China (no, I do not believe in a massive widespread slowdown in China – I was there in September, and quite frankly, I liked what I saw).
