If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I have been/am bullish on China.
When it comes to investing/trading China, I am very well aware that the sector is marked by frustrating periods of grinds lower until an event suddenly, abruptly, and massively shatters the existing bearishness and propels us higher with what is known as a “God Candle.”
Much of my bullishness in recent weeks comes down to the simple fact that many of the China ADRs traded at my DCF Bear Case.
……By now, it should be clear to my Members what happens when a Stock trades my DCF Model’s Bear Case….
In China’s case, I simply need some type of “Policy Announcement” to unlock the Bear Case gatekeeper. The waiting period can feel like a long grind, but that’s what this sector entails.
It’s a Waiting Game. Those who can SIT & WAIT will be Rewarded.
I even shared on Twitter my views to help out the public because I wanted to help folks find Undervaluation in a very expensive broad market.
I believe I made my views quite clear in the 2 emails I sent out over the past 30 days. That’s right. I ONLY sent out 2 emails over the past 30 days.
Why? The fewer the emails I send, the LESS ambiguity there is behind what my view is. In a world filled with so much noise, I don’t want to bury your inbox with unnecessary commentary.
I believe in my work. I am not constantly changing my mind.
Every email I send out from now on will be actionable. That means the frequency depends purely on when I see Opportunity.
If there is no Playbook, I stay silent and just research. This is something that has to be understood. This means that if every week, I send out just 1 email or even NONE, this has to be OKAY with folks.
My goal is to pinpoint the Opportunity and not be a journalist (don’t laugh at this).
I will of course send out the Pre-Market/Daily commentary on Whatsapp. But emails are reserved for only when I have something to say.
A strong mindset and long-term view to hold through volatility is absolutely required to take advantage of my work/research.
It must also be understood that almost all my ideas (if they are high-beta like China/Semiconductors/Tech) will experience some type of drawdown before we wake up and say the words “In the DCF, We Trust.”
Exhibit 1: “Strongly suggests Hang Seng trades higher from 19600”. Now 21000. A powerful +1500 points higher.
Exhibit 2: “I am convinced today’s prices are too low” - Less than 10 days before Single Session 10% China Rally.
Also - let’s please NOT share P&L of existing China positions because WE ALL KNOW that when screenshots are shared, the move is just about over and I do NOT want to Jinx anything. I know that a lot of folks in my Community are seeing their China holdings soar today. The market changes every single day. One day’s gain can be tomorrow’s loss. Or vice versa. No need to get Euphoric. Refrain from getting Greedy.
I do want to share a disclaimer: I did load up in the weeks leading up to today and I do have an unusually large China allocation, so I have to trim some positioning today to avoid giving it all back in case the market changes its mind.
But for today (I cannot speak to what happens after a Green God Candle), those who have been following my work know that today is a VERY good day for almost Everyone in my Community who believes in my Strategy.
